About Kolab Systems AG

Kolab Systems AG is a Swiss corporation based in Zürich. It was founded as a new, independent business in February 2010 by two of Europe's leading Free Software companies that were deeply involved in the development of the Kolab Groupware Solution and have continued to provide development and services throughout the past years: Intevation GmbH, Germany, and KDAB, Sweden.

To secure the independence of the new business, both companies provided the majority of seed funding for Kolab Systems AG and with their growing business fast approaching 100 employees between them continue to make development resources available as part of the Kolab Enterprise Community.

Kolab Systems AG is managed by a Board of Directors with decades of combined industry experience in Free Software, including development, business application, stream management, strategy and analysis.

We understand that competency in Free Software sits "upstream", where you are the original and primary source of the technology. Otherwise you will be second best or maintain a fork at the expense of your customers to reduce their freedom of choice.

We aim to be the best and give our customers options. We continuously improve the technology, and provide our customers with solutions that enable their productivity with the best possible service. Our goal is to empower all our partners in the Kolab Enterprise Community to do the same.
